The Life Boat of Jesus
Course Outline by Eric Majors
Purpose: To educate, equip and motivate followers of Jesus to bring non-Christians people into the Life Boat of Jesus Christ, including Atheists and follower of Islam, Hindu, Buddhism and Judaism.
Methods: The course will teach the most popular and proven techniques in approaching people in our day to day lives about Jesus in order to stimulate their acceptance of Jesus Christ and their subsequent mentoring as new believers. In addition, we will learn about the belief systems of various mainstream religions and compare them with Christianity in order to help us to help overcome objections raised by people of other faiths when it comes to Jesus and learn some of the of most successful ways of introducing Jesus to people of each faith. We will practice roll playing and we will actually have field trips and assignments that involve actually attempting to bring people into the life boat of Jesus.
Content: The course material will be assembled by Eric Majors of the Life Boat of Jesus Ministry and will include:
1. Presentations by Missionaries.
2. Summaries of popular books on the subject of Evangelism.
3. Summaries of the content of verified video and internet resources.
4. Group member discussions and role playing.
5. Assignments and Field Trips
6. Feedback on assignments and field trips.
7. Prayer for the course itself, the members, and for protection from anything that may threaten our group and individual members in their walk with Jesus and in their attempts to evangelize.
